Adventures of Miss Poppy Lyster

The early steps of a girl about town

And her name is…

Posted by: kirwan In: After

… Poppy.

We’re all together again at St. Thomas’s. Tracey should be coming home tommorrow with our baby daughter, Poppy Lilian Lyster.

When I left the flat it was a mad house, so I’ll have to spend the evening making it nice for our daughter. I want her to like the place.

She’s lovely and Poppy is a great name. I’m impressed with her timing too – waiting until after the wedding and comfortably before Christmas. Clever girl. Happy nest-building!

I was trying to think where I’d heard the name Poppy recently and just remembered. Mike Leigh’s Happy Go Lucky of course which was on TV last week. Hope she grows up with the same attitude (if not such terrible-taste in driving instructors).

Beautiful name – I approve! (and its very important to get an aunt’s approval in case you didn’t know :-))

Funny you should mention that film Suzanne – I think that’s where the idea came from.

I’m sure Poppy will love the flat. It sure is a lot nicer than it was before I was kicked out to make room for the new woman (and now women) in your life.

Wishing time would go quicker – counting down until I can leave the office and make the quick walk down the road to the hospital.

Congratulations Tracey (and of course Kirwan who I haven’t met). Soo delighted with your news and to see Poppy on her first internet appearance.

Well done all of you. It so happens that Poppy was born on the same day as my godson turns 25.

Enjoy every minute of her and her growing up which will happen all too quickly.

Thanks for introducing me to blogging! It’s my first experience

her name is Poppy and she is totally gorgeous, petite with a hint of turning into a tall girl with her long legs and not quite so petitie feet – luck girl.

Incredibly good considering she was passed from doting Grandma to doting Aunty and back again. You both looked so happy if still not quite believing she was all yours and real. A truly happy family.

Love from us both
Gmama and Granddad Steve
